An Armed Forces of the Philippines Army basketball player aims for a layup at a friendly basketball game between Barangay Taft basketball players and players from the Combined-Joint Civil-Military Operations Task Force on the island of Panay in Tapaz, Philippines, during Balikatan 2015, April 28. The goodwill game was held for some fun and entertainment following the conclusion of the combined U.S. and AFP force’s humanitarian and disaster response activities on the island. Balikatan, which means “shoulder to shoulder” in Filipino, is an annual bilateral training exercise aimed at improving the ability of Philippine and U.S. military forces to work together during planning, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
