U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Pedro A. PerezaSoto, trumpet instrumentalist, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band, plays “Taps” during the 34th Annual Memorial Day Observance at the Waikiki Natatorium War Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii, May 29, 2022. The ceremony is held annually to honor Hawaii’s fallen service members and pay special tribute to the 10,000 Hawaiians who volunteered for service in World War I, more than 100 of which made the ultimate sacrifice.
