U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class John Gromer, an emergency medical technician, and U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Terrence Wright, an air transportation craftsman, package a cooler containing units of blood with ice at the intermediate staging base at Utapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield, Thailand, May 10, 2015. The blood was part of a shipment of items sent to Kathmandu, Nepal, to aid in the continuous support of the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts. Following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the nation April 25, the U.S. military sent airmen, Marines, soldiers and sailors as part of Joint Task Force 505 to support the HA/DR mission at the direction of U.S. Agency for International Development.
