Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Reyes conducts a subject matter expert exchange about the Local Sensor Subsystem with Tech Sgt. Samson Nagasao, during Balikatan May 8 2014 at Clark Air Field. The LSS, a mission critical asset, collects meteorological data. The collected data is analyzed and disseminated to U.S. and allied forces and provides accurate and timely weather information. Balikatan, in its 30th iteration, is an annual bilateral exercise between the U.S. and the Republic of the Philippines and aims at building the nations interoperability during joint planning, contingency, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Reyes is a meteorology and oceanography chief with Marine Air Traffic Control Squadron 4, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. Nagasao is a weather technician with 900th Weather Group, Philippine Air Force.
