Vittorio Roces, right, discusses the significance of the medical supply donations with U.S. Marine Maj. Grace Janosek, center, and Roberto Arienda at the Bigaa Health Center May 5 in Bigaa, Albay province, Philippines. The donation of medical supplies was a part of the humanitarian assistance programs being completed during Exercise Balikatan, an annual bilateral training exercise held with Philippine and U.S. forces to strengthen relationship between the two nations. Roces is the acting city mayor of Legazpi, Janosek is a civil affairs team leader with civil affairs detachment, G3, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Arienda is the barangay chairman of Bigaa.
