Japanese Soldiers with the Western Army Infantry Regiment, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force conduct amphibious training at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, Jan. 22. The JGSDF is here to participate in Exercise Iron Fist with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. By improving military readiness and interoperability, Iron Fist promotes partnership between the two nations and provides them the opportunity to exchange knowledge and learn from each other, as well as establish personal and professional relationships.
