I MEF Operations in the Philippines: Summer 2026
Throughout summer 2026, I Marine Expeditionary Force brought together forces from across the Marine Air-Ground Task Force to train, integrate and operate alongside the Armed Forces of the Philippines across the Philippine archipelago. Through major exercises and persistent bilateral engagements, I MEF strengthened bilateral command and control, maritime operations, fires, aviation, logistics and littoral maneuver while building the relationships required to operate together. I MEF’s presence in the Philippines, including through Marine Rotational Force – Southeast Asia, is presence with purpose. Shoulder to shoulder with our Philippine allies, I MEF Marines and Sailors are building readiness, strengthening the U.S.-Philippine alliance and ensuring our forces are prepared to operate and respond together when it matters most.
