Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise 2019: Mission Accomplished
The Commanding Officer, LtCol Joshua Anderson, and the Sergeant Major, SgtMaj Jeremy Sapp, of Special Purpose Marinie Air Ground Task Force - Alaska deliver a message to the Marines and Sailors of Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE). The Marines and Sailors of AECE conducted amphibious operations in austere conditions in Adak, Alaska. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participated in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tested expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepared joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific. AECE 2019: Realistic Training During Mass Casualty Scenario
Marines and Sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Alaska integrated to train in a mass casualty exercise to maintain preparedness and efficiency aboard the USS Somerset (LPD-25) on Sept. 13, 2019. The training proved the concept of being able to provide support in challenging terrain and climates. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participated in Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE), a joint training exercise that tested expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Artic region and prepared joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
