Tactical Communication: Marines with I MEF conduct CPX-2
MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. - Marines across I Marine Expeditionary Force executed Command Post Exercise-2 at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar April 25 - 30. I MEF's CPX-2 is the second exercise in a four-part series, leading up to a live, virtual and constructive (LVC) exercise scheduled for August 2016 that tests I MEF command element's ability to develop and execute plans as a MEF-level deployed force (approx. 50,000 troops); and to improve the command element's ability to command and control operations in a complex environment that includes the employment of Joint, Cyber, Special Operations and Information related capabilities. U.S. Marines and Sailors with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3 support at Disaster Relief operations at Clark Air Base, Philippines, Aug 18, 2025. At the request of the Government of the Philippines, the MRF-D 25.3 Marine Air-Ground Task Force is working alongside the Armed Forces of the Philippines to provide foreign disaster relief to communities affected by consecutive storms and the southwest monsoon. The forward presence and ready posture of United States Indo-Pacific Command in the region facilitates rapid and effective response to crisis, demonstrating the U.S.’s commitment to Allies and partners during times of need.
