A U.S. Marines Corps AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar with 3d Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, senses the battlespace during Force Design Integration Exercise on Dillingham Airfield, Hawaii, Sept. 27, 2023. Force Design Integration Exercise demonstrates the current capabilities of 3d MLR as an effective part of the Stand-In Force Integration with our Pacific Marines and Joint counterparts. As dusk descends, Marines and civilians from the Program Manager for Ground-Based Air Defense assemble around Program Executive Officer Land System’s cutting-edge Medium Range Intercept Capability system. Serving as the Corps’ first medium range missile capability since the HAWK system, this state-of-the-art capability proved its mettle by successfully hitting targets at the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, on December 16, 2021. - As dusk descends, Marines and civilians from the Program Manager for Ground-Based Air Defense assemble around Program Executive Officer Land System’s cutting-edge Medium Range Intercept Capability system. U.S. Marines assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 15, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, hook a Polaris MRZR, an ultra-light turbo diesel combat vehicle, beneath a CH-53E Super Stallion attached to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, during external lift operations with a helicopter support team at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, May 9, 2023. CLB-15 and HMH-361 worked together to test an innovative lift method utilizing wheel nets to inform publication and standard operating procedure development for the Marine Corps.
