F-18 Hornets will be participating in Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC) off the coast.
This is the first time Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron-224 (VMFA (AW)-224) out of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., has supported RIMPAC. This is the world's largest international maritime exercise, which includes 14 nations, 32 ships, five submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 20,000 personnel.
