Master Chief Frank Dominguez Command Master Chief U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific

CMDCM Dominguez was born in San Pedro, California raised in Superior, Arizona and attended Superior High School.  He began his naval Career June 1987 at Recruit Training Command San Diego.  Then followed by HM “A” school in San Diego.  He reported to his first duty station at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, California.

In 1988, he attended Field Medical Service School, Camp Pendleton and upon graduation was assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines from June 1988 to October 1992.  In August 1990, he deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm participating in combat operations with Task Force Ripper/Papa Bear. 

At the end of his tour in Hawaii, CMDCM Dominguez reported to Branch Medical Clinic, NAB, Coronado, where he held a various Leading Petty Officer roles from 1992 to 1996.

In 1996, he was then assigned to 1st Surveillance Reconnaissance Intelligence Group, Camp Pendleton.  In 1998, 1st SRIG deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation’s Desert Thunder/Fox. 

In 2000, he received orders for instructor duty at Field Medical Service School, Camp Pendleton.   CMDCM obtained his Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification.  

From 2003 to 2007, Master Chief Dominguez served with 1st Marine Division, and assigned to 3rd Battalion 1st Marines as Senior Medical Department Representative (SMDR) and participated in major combat during Operation Al Fajr, Fallujah, Iraq. He then transferred to 3d AAV Battalion and eventually re-assigned to 1st Marine Regiment as Regimental Senior Medical Department Represenative.

In 2007, he received orders overseas to U.S. Naval Hospital, Naples, Italy, where he served as SEL for Directorate for Administration and Clinics.  During his tour he was promoted to Master Chief and selected for Command Master Chief (9580) program.

In 2010, he received orders to Naval Hospital Bremerton, Bremerton, Washington as the Command Master Chief. 

In 2012, he was selected as Command Master Chief, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS Miramar, California.  He was selected to serve as Command Master Chief, Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan and Regional Command (Southwest) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from Aug 2013 to 14 Nov 2014.  Upon return, he assumed his duties as Command Master Chief, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing.  In June 2016, he was selected as the Command Master Chief, I Marine Expeditionary Force. 

He currently serves as U.S. Marine Forces, Pacific Command Master Chief.

CMDCM Dominguez is a graduate of the Command Leadership School, CMC/COB, Class 75 and Honor Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class NRC 22 (Khaki).  His awards include:  Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with combat distinguishing device (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Combat Action Ribbon (two awards), Good Conduct Medal (six awards) as well as various campaign/unit awards.
