BAN CHAN KREM, Thailand - Royal Thai Marine Seaman Chaimongkon Pangtaisong, center, and members of his unit examine an 81mm mortar round Feb. 12 during the Cobra Gold 2013 field training exercises with U.S. Marines in Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand. CG 13 is the largest multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region and provides all participating nations an opportunity to maintain relationships and enhance interoperability. Pangtaisong is a new member of the Royal Thai Marines and has been training to be a gunner for the 81mm mortar section, 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry.
