Until the mid 1980s, there was a bowling alley here, used by Aiea Naval Hospital as therapy for patients injured during World War II. Today, the location is home to the Joint Interagency Task Force West. The building that currently headquarters U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific was once the primary rear-area hospital for the Navy and Marine Corps during World War II.
