Courtesy Photo Philippine and U.S. Marines conduct a bilateral amphibious assault near Zambales, Philippines, May 9, 2014, as part of Balikatan 2014. The assault enhanced Marine landing maneuvers and expeditionary capabilities, optimizing combined operations for the future. Balikatan is an annual training exercise that strengthens the interoperability between Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military in their commitment to regional securing and stability, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
