CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii -- U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific will host a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Aug. 26, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. During the ceremony, the current MARFORPAC Commander, Lt. Gen. John A. Toolan will relinquish command to Lt. Gen. David H. Berger.
Berger previously served as the commanding general of I Marine Expeditionary Force at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
Toolan plans to retire after a 40-year Marine Corps career in September.
Media interested in covering the ceremony are asked to RSVP by Aug. 25 to the MARFORPAC Public Affairs Office, and to plan on arriving at the MCBH Main gate no later than 8:15 a.m. Friday for escort to the event site.
