MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- (Sept. 28, 2016) Marines with Company B, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, rehearse observation post operations at Camp Pendleton, Sept. 28, 2016. During the training Marines stealthfully hiked five kilometers, set up an observation post and carried out reconnaissance missions. The training is in preparation for the company's upcoming deployment.

U.S. Marines and Singapore Armed Forces participate in the opening ceremony for Exercise Valiant Mark 2016 at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. Sept. 26, 2016. Valiant Mark is an annual exercise conducted by U.S. Marines and the Singapore Armed Forces in order to maintain a high level of interoperability, enhanced military to military relations and to enrich mutual combat capabilities through combined training.
