PHITSANULOK, Thailand - Royal Thai Special Forces instructors demonstrate how to safely remove a nonpoisonous snake after a bite. U.S. service members volunteered for the experience and military medics were on hand during a jungle survival class Feb. 17 at Camp Akatosrot, Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand, during exercise Cobra Gold 2013. U.S. soldiers are with Baker Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. Exercise Cobra Gold is the largest multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region and provides the Kingdom of Thailand, U.S., Singapore, Japan, Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and observer nations, an opportunity to maintain relationships and enhance interoperability.
