Aiea Naval Hospital, which was decommissioned May 31, 1949, once housed these standard wards throughout its wings. Today those wings have been separated into offices where different work sections in U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific support operations for Marines here and around the world. The building that currently headquarters MarForPac was once the primary rear-area hospital for the Navy and Marine Corps during World War II.
