The Marine memorial at the USS Arizona Memorial and Visitor Center is a seven-ton, concrete and bronze base honoring 73 Marines who gave their lives during the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The bronze plaques list names, jobs and hometowns of the Marines who died when the USS Arizona was attacked. One panel honors Lt. Col. Daniel R. Fox, the most highly-decorated American who died aboard the USS Arizona. The memorial is scheduled to be rededicated on the 69th anniversary of the attack Dec. 7.
