U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Cody McConnell sights in while U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Noah Soliz prepares to fire his M240-B medium machine gun during a live-fire squad attack course August 22 during Exercise Crocodile Strike at Mount Bundey Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin are conducting bilateral training with the Australian Defence Force for two weeks, including dry and live-fire exercises with air and ground elements. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with our Australian allies and improves interoperability between our forces. McConnell is a team leader and Soliz is a machine gunner, both with Company C, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, MRF-D.
