MarForPac commanding general meets with Japanese general

LtGen Keith Stalder, Commanding General, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific , met with Gen. Ryoichi Oriki, Chief of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF), in Tokyo during the first leg of regional travel to discuss issues with key U.S. and partner nation forces.   Lt. Gen. Stalder and Gen. Oriki reaffirmed the importance of the MarForPac-JGSDF partnership and discussed future opportunities for cooperation.  Following his meeting with Gen. Oriki, Lt. Gen. Stalder traveled to Korea to meet with key U.S. leaders and the Commandant of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, Lt. Gen. Lee Hong-Hee.   Lt. Gen. Stalder will participate in the Marine Corps Birthday Ball at U.S. Embassy Beijing, China before returning to Hawaii.
