CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines - Sgt. Christopher Franks and Tech Sgt. Samson Nagasao discuss the Kestrel handheld weather sensor during Balikatan May 8 2014 at Clark Air Field. By exchanging information and ideas, the Philippine Air Force and U.S. Marines strengthen their partnership. Balikatan, in its 30th iteration, is an annual bilateral exercise between the U.S. and the Republic of the Philippines and aims at building the nations interoperability during joint planning, contingency, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Franks is a meteorology and oceanography analyst forecaster with Marine Air Traffic Control Squadron 4, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. Nagasao is a weather technician with 900th Weather Group, Philippine Air Force.
