Kathryn S. Woltanski
Gunnery Sergeant Kathryn S. Woltanski is a native of Elmwood, WI. In January of 2004, she graduated from Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina.
Upon completion of Recruit Training, Private First Class Ableidinger attended the Basic Course of Instruction at the Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach, VA. While there, she was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
In September of 2004, Lance Corporal Ableidinger graduated from the Armed Forces School of Music and was assigned to the Parris Island Marine Band as a flute/piccolo instrumentalist and Assistant Instrument Repair Technician. While serving there she was promoted to the rank of Corporal and Sergeant.
In September of 2007, Sergeant Woltanski was assigned to the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Band as a flute instrumentalist, Platoon Sergeant, and Assistant Instrument Repair Technician. While serving there, she was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
In August of 2010, Staff Sergeant Woltanski was assigned to the Minnesota State-Southeast Technical College Band Instrument Repair Program in Red Wing, MN where she graduated with honors, and in May of the following year, Staff Sergeant Woltanski was assigned to the Parris Island Marine Band as the Instrument Repair Technician.
In April of 2015, Staff Sergeant Woltanski was assigned to the Marine Forces Pacific Band where she is currently serving as the Instrument Repair Technician. In August of 2016,
Gunnery Sergeant Woltanksi was promoted to her current rank in August 2016. Gunnery Sergeant Woltanski’s awards include the Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.
